New Orleans 2006 / New Orleans

Some NOLA architecture... I especially liked the chimneys. One of the things that immediately struck me was the aroma of New Orleans. A combination of raw sewerage and fermenting garbage wafted through the air, permeating the warm breeze.

Speaking with the locals we learned that trash collection is sporadic as manpower is limited and funding is even more so. However, others that have visited before inform me that the city always smells like a urinal.
