New Orleans 2006 / Absinthe HouseThe copper top on the bar is the original. During prohibition, evildoers in the government were determined to destroy the bar as a way of showing the public that Absinthe and drinking would never again be tolerated in this free land of ours. The owners of the Absinthe House spirited the bar away in the middle of the night and hid it in a warehouse, where it stayed until it was moved back to its original location in 2004. |
