Key West State of Mind / keywest04You can't get no further south and stay dry. Key West is an island that measures roughly 2 miles by 4 miles, and is the southernmost tip of the United States. In April 1982 the Keys successfully seceded from the union in response to a US Border Patrol blockade that forced every US Citizen to prove their citizenship in order to be allowed passage to the mainland. I have a feeling that a lot of the inhabitants of Key West are not too far removed from being expatriots. |
