Our Dining Room Floor
One of our first residential projects was one we did for ourselves.
We have a 12x16 foot dining room, and it was in severe need of a new
floor. The existing floor consisted of a good underlayment over top
3/4" plywood. We had no idea what was beneath the underlayment
and plywood, and did not want to take chances ripping out all of that
flooring only to discover major structural problems beneath.
We had an almost infinite supply of mis-matched, used and leftover
tile provided by contractors and supply store display racks. Heavy duty
floor tiles and a little diligent destruction with a hammer provided
a myriad of shapes. We began laying pieces, starting with large and
going to small until the floor was covered.
Brown colored grout made the tiles in neutral shades of gray and browns
really pop out.
Let your imagination soar - the ideas are limitless. We can give you
a kitchen back splash that will be the envy of all your friends. Floors,
patio decks, your house foundation, even fish ponds.
